Eglin Maintenance
Diversified Product Development repairs and performs daily maintenance on 300 ft tower for United States Air Force.
Project overview
Located in Fort Walton Beach, FL on Santa Rosa island, a 300 ft fully operational surveillance tower looks over the gulf coast.
This tower is used as a test and observation platform for various United States Air Force missions located on the gulf coast. Continuous maintenance is required to satisfy mission ready status. 17,000 lb capacity Personnel/Freight Elevator Diversified’s job is to provide ongoing repair and maintenance of the tower. While doing this, it is imperative to minimize the possibility that repair and/or maintenance will interrupt the tower support of test missions. One of the many responsibilities of maintaining the tower is to make sure the Personnel/Freight elevator is available and working for day to day operation.
This 17,000 pound capacity elevator travels the full 300 ft height of the tower and is a vital part of day to day operations.
Diversified signed a contract to have a full time employee stationed near Santa Rosa Island to work on all tower repairs and maintenance.
Diversified is now the sole source provider for maintenance and tower repair for several years.
